No More Talking From Stephen Hawking- A Sure-shot Decline in World’s IQ

After losing the bollywood queen- Sri Devi, another inspiration- Stephen Hawking left us with memories in our heart.

“I’m not afraid of death, but I’m in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first.” With only 2 ½ years to live after getting diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) (the degenerative motor neuron disease), Sir Stephen was in no mood to die so early and challenged his disability and death with courage and smile on his face.

The Great Stephen Hawking

As his name ends with ‘N’ (the 14th alphabet) so is the date of his demise (14th March, 2018). Even his death proves how genius Prof. Stephen Hawking was. Prof. Hawking who was born on 8th January, 1942, 300th death anniversary of Galileo, died on 14th March, 2018, the 139th birthday of Einstein.

Although his disability forced him to travel the universe in his mind but he gave us the ‘Theory of Everything’, everything from lifelong lessons of personal lives to incredible inventions in field of science, being one of the rarest scientists who stepped out of the labs to inspire the lives of others.

“Life would be tragic if it weren’t funny.”

Being 100% paralyzed and still living a life full of fun and laughs is an inspiration for each and everyone. Stephen has always kept humor intact in his heart which was a key for his healthier and less stressful life.

He has always joked about his unusual appearances in The Simpsons, Futurama, Stargate Atlantis and The Fairly Oddparents and Star Trek.

Stephen Hawking- Full of Life

There is a scene in ‘Theory of Everything’ where they have to put a bed downstairs in the kitchen and his response is, “At least getting breakfast will be easy.”

Stephen Hawking- Smiling Face

Following the principles of Stephen Hawking, everyone should find a reason to laugh in every phase of life; it will definitely add life to your years.

“I am just a child who has never grown up. I still keep asking these ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions.”

Prof. Hawking inspires us to be always curious as a small child, whose mind is full of unique queries. There is no surety of getting an answer every time, but sticking to a simple philosophy, ‘Nothing is Impossible’; you can find answer to all the questions floating in your mind.

Also, never hesitate to share your knowledge by communicating it clearly and effectively, else you are losing a golden opportunity.

Einstein always said if you can’t explain something easily, it means you don’t understand it well enough. And if you have to explain something easily, you have to think and find answer like a child.

This was the reason that despite the high difficulty level of Stephen’s subject, he came up with his book “A Brief History of Time”, written entirely in non-technical terms so that it can be understood by everyone. The result was that the book became the bestseller and sold more than 10 million copies in 20 years.

A popular story goes that Hawking’s publisher told him readership would be cut in half for every equation in the book, so Hawking included only one: E = mc².

“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change”

Darwin’s theory perfectly fits in this highly competitive world: ‘Survival of the fittest’ and to survive here the only thing which you will have to introduce in yourself is to ‘Change yourself.’

Yes, change is inevitable and with changing time, one should fit his feet in shoes of time and act accordingly.

This is the reason that even Prof. Hawking, who was unable to speak and used a voice synthesizer, has made an extensive use of computer technology and the internet in his research. As per Stephen, the one who has ability to adapt the change is intelligent.

Stephen Hawking - A Brilliant Mind

 “Look what we made”

In the ending of the movie ‘Theory of everything’, Stephen Hawking (seated on the wheel chair and watching his 3 kids playing) says to Jane Wilde: “Look what we made.”

This simple sentence of 4 words has very deep meaning to understand. Everyone have achieved a lot of things in their life , so one should often find time and look back at those memories with a proud smile on a face.

And when I look back at my teenage, I can say that Stephen Hawking inspired me and he will inspire everyone around with his memories that will remain intact in everyone’s heart.

Prof. Hawking, “I will remember to look up at the stars this evening and will wave to the most shining star in the sky: Stephen Hawking.”
